Well, Korean jurisprudence is not properly functioning. I think that is why this NGO felt like it had to assert its position even before the judges considered the case. If people can trust those prosecutors and judges more, then this would be much less of the problem. But so far, the Korean prosecutors and judges seem to be largely corrupt, or in the pockets of the government.
Especially when it comes to the women with sexual harrassment issues. We have seen that many times in the past. The victims of rape are paraded into the headlines of the newspapers as if they are guilty ones. The Korean legal system definately needs to be cleaned up. |
